$500 award goes to a Mr. Martin who is building a full band program from the ground up — providing instruments, supplies, and repairs at no cost to students. His passion has sparked extraordinary growth, helping students prepare to perform at citywide events and competitions.
Our second $500 award supports a school librarian, Ms. Zito, working tirelessly to build a culture of reading with a $0 book budget. Despite this, she has created a joyful, inclusive, and thriving library where students see themselves in the stories they read.
